This huge update with 40 items is a combination of my December 2022 update and my work up to this point in February 2023. The next one will likely come in the second part of this year, I will clarify that as soon as I can, but as always, I’m happy to send the list of what’s new if you drop me an email.
This huge update contains a bit of everything, but I spent the most time transcribing falsetas por bulerías and mostly concentrated on Paco de Lucía’s early work. The list is dominated by the “Big Four” (Paco, Tomatito, Vicente and Gerardo) who are the most recognised solo artists, but there are bulerías by Chicuelo, Moraíto and several Falseta Collections. Possibly the most interesting collection is the one where Paco plays as a guest for artists in different genres and possibly the most valuable for us guitarists would be where he and his brother Ramón accompanies Camarón de la Isla por Bulerías. Of course I have to mention the legendary Mediterranean Sundance which is one of the pieces that brings people to flamenco.
I’ve also added to the Freebies section, Intentálo Encontrar is a bulería where Mayte Martín is accompanied by José Luís Montón and Juan Ramón Caro. Previously I only had the main falseta, now it’s the entire piece with both guitars. Hable con Ella is Vicente Amigo lending his guitar to a movie theme and I re-did the introduction to Querido Metheny where Paco de Lucía plays the lead part on Vicente Amigo’s piece. Also I went through all the files in the Freebies section to update them where necessary.
Please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org with inquiries. Refer to the Catalogue page for the complete list of transcriptions available. If you find a broken link on the page, please let me know.
